Terminal Themes

Personalize your mobile workstation with over 450+ built-in Ghostty color themes and 24-bit RGB True Color rendering.

450+ High-Performance Ghostty Color Palettes

Visual customization and high contrast are essential for long mobile terminal sessions. Built directly into Casshper's core terminal, global theme selection gives you access to over 450+ built-in Ghostty color palettes to tailor your display for low-light environments, high-contrast readability, or personal style.

Native Engine Color Rendering

Theme color definitions map directly to Ghostty's native GPU rendering pipeline, rendering 24-bit ANSI color palettes with zero performance overhead.

Key Features

  • 450+ Bundled Ghostty Themes: Includes popular developer themes out of the box—Dracula, Solarized Dark/Light, Monokai Pro, TokyoNight, Nord, Catppuccin, Gruvbox, One Dark, and high-contrast accessibility modes.
  • Global Theme Default: Set a master color palette in Settings that automatically applies to all newly created shell sessions.
  • True Color (24-bit RGB) Support: Full 16.7 million color palette support ensures accurate syntax highlighting in Vim, Neovim, Tmux, and customized shell prompts.

Configuring Global Terminal Themes

  1. Open Casshper and open the sidebar menu to select Settings.
  2. Select Appearance.
  3. Under Terminal Theme, tap the theme dropdown menu.
  4. Browse and select your preferred palette from over 450+ built-in Ghostty themes.
  5. Tap Save Settings—your global theme default updates instantly for all new sessions!

Quick Theme Switching and Action Triggers (Pro Admin)

In addition to static global configuration, Pro Admin enables you to change, preview, and isolate themes dynamically in real time using Action Bindings and saved profiles:

  • Server-Specific Bookmark Themes: Assign dedicated themes directly to SSH hosts in Saved Connections. By default, profiles inherit your global default (indicated by the GLOBAL badge), but can be set to distinct alert palettes for production servers.
  • In-Session Contextual Theming: Update the palette of any active tab on the fly from the session menu without altering global defaults. See Contextual Themes.
  • Theme Picker Action: Bind the Theme Picker action to an on-screen button in Soft Key Bars or map it to a swipe sequence in Custom Gestures to open the interactive theme selector modal instantly.
Pro Tip: Dark Mode and Battery Saving

Using deep OLED black themes like Dracula or Catppuccin Mocha reduces power consumption on mobile AMOLED displays during extended sessions!
