Rapid Remote File Operations Without Leaving the Terminal

Opening a full terminal shell just to check a log file, change file permissions (chmod), or create a directory takes unnecessary time. The Internal Browser gives you a full-screen, touch-optimized SFTP file manager built directly into Casshper.

Management Features

• Chmod Permission Management: Interactively set Octal file permissions (e.g., 0755 for scripts/executables or 0644 for web files) with immediate feedback.
• Directory Management: Instantly create new folders, empty files, or delete remote items with confirmation guards.
• Direct File Transfer: Upload local files from Android or download server logs and configuration files directly to your device storage.

How to Open and Use the Internal Browser

1. In Casshper's saved connections list, tap the options menu icon next to any saved SSH connection profile (or tap the host inside Connection Manager).
2. Tap Mount to establish the active SFTP filesystem session for that connection.
3. Open the host's options menu again and select Browse (Internal) to open the full-screen file manager dialog.
4. Navigate: Tap folders to navigate subdirectories, tap breadcrumbs to jump up, or tap the search icon to locate files.
5. File Options: Tap any file or folder to access options: Chmod octal permissions, Rename, Delete, or Download.
6. Create and Upload: Tap + to create new directories/files or tap the Upload button to transfer local phone files to the remote server.
